God im so lonely.

I took a year off. All my friends moved away. My boyfriend moved away. All I do is work, come home, sleep, go to work. It's another Friday night and i'm stuck inside with no plans. I work at a hospital so everyone there is 30years old or older. I can't become friends with these people, it's not realistic. Maybe some of you will say.."Join a club!" I have no time for that. I'm taking online courses so that i'll hopefully get into collage next year and get on with my life. And I need to be working so that I can move into residence and hopefully gain a social life. I feel so lonely and so depressed. I want to be out doing something. Going to parties..socializing..my boyfriends at a frat party right now and all I can think about is how much fun he must be having with all his friends and how exciting it all must be. And i'm just so god damn miserable with my life right now.

Hey Kat, sorry you're felling so down. I noticed that no one had responded to your post yet so I wanted to stop in and say hi. Somebody with way more knowledge than me will answer here soon, I'm sure. In the meantime I can offer what my Dad always tells me, "Try to be thankful for and concentrate your energy on what you DO have.".

You have a job, you have a plan and goal, you have a boyfriend. From what I read on here, and hear on the news, things could be a lot worse.

It's a down time right now. Something else my Dad always says is "Life is a series of peaks and valleys. Don't get too comfortable when your're on a peak because the downhill trip to a valley may be coming. But don't be too down when you're in the valley because you'll need your strength to climb to that next peak."

I'm only 14, but I know that's been true for me.

Hi, reading your post it's obvious that you're busy but being busy is part of what could make life social even though employees are older try conversing with them you may learn something in return, try to find younger people or try to found out what your fellow employees like to do for fun, when you do have free time dedicate that time to your boyfriend and if he's busy then dedicate that time to making or hanging with friends. I have that same problem. Between school, activites and work it is hard to get out with my friends/boyfriend because I am just so busy. As the above user had said, try to gain some freetime when you can, maybe go and suprise your boyfriend with a lunch if you can. Also, maybe try calling some of your friends and just having a conversation over the phone or skype. Just try to do anything you can to get yourself out of the house, even if it is just visiting grandparents or cousins. PM me anytime you need to talk!
