Pet Memories -
March 9th 2020, 11:42 PM
What are some of the best memories you have of your pets, both past and present?
Some of my favorite memories was the morning routine I had with the youngest cat when I was growing up.

My favorite memory with my dog was when I'd get home from school and my dog would get excited that we could take a nap together.
The sun is always gonna rise up
You need to get up, gotta keep your head up
Look at the people all around you
The way you feel is something everybody goes through

Some of the best memories I've had with my pets, past and present, is just simply spending time with them and cuddling with them in bed.

That same cat I mentioned in the original post used to cuddle with me when I slept at night, but his purrs were sensory overload and my mom banished him from my room. I might have gotten a few bites and paw swipes too.

I've never had any pets, but I loved looking after my neighbours cat. Especially when I would open the door and the cat would come running towards me to greet me

I had a cat we took in after a loved one got too sick. She died a few years back but she used to walk around the block with me when I walked with my dog, and we were always kind of in awe of that.
One of my cats now likes to watch me get ready especially if I am doing my makeup or something. She reminds me of a little girl watching her mother get ready, if that makes sense. She also really, really likes ice cubes so when we sit down to eat, we get her a little bowl and put some out for her. She has walked across my chest for certain flavors of ice cream.
She was stuck to me like glue after a surgery and she got really offended when I couldn't bend down to pet her belly.
I have another one who is a talker and she'll meow back and forth with you for a while. Sometimes I ask her what a cat says and I'll get a meow.
I am probably forgetting some but usually it is the little things I think of, too.
If clarity's in death, then why won't this die?
Years of tearing down our banners, you and I
Living for the thrill of hitting you where it hurts
Give me back my girlhood, it was mine first
The axe forgets, but the tree remembers

One time me and my bf got in a huge fight and I ran into the other room crying. My dog came to me and put his head on my lap assuring me that everything would be ok. I miss that dog.
