ok so i got a new exacto blade yesterday and just kinda grabbed it off the shelf without examining the package because yknow it's an exacto blade there's not much knowledge to gain from reading the package
but oh was i wrong
It declares "for precision cutting and trimming" at the top, and then right underneath it says "red handle for self expression"
and i just about lost my shit laughing like i know that SH in general is nothing to joke about, but i just felt like the company just knew what purpose i was buying it for and exactly how to word that to get me to laugh because oh boy did i laugh

Interesting how that works, isn't it? I used to buy a brand of tools when I harmed myself more frequently and the name was pretty ironic based on what I was using them for.
Like you, even though I know self-harm and the other things mental health wise are not something to laugh about, I do have a different sense of humor and tend to laugh about myself to get myself through the day.
That said, I hope you are hanging in there and I am here for you if you need anything.

The story does sound quite ironic. I hope you are hanging in there. Don't be afraid to reach out if you need to, we're here for you. I would check out the "Alternates to Self-Harm" thread because I don't know about you, but reading the instruction/purpose on the back would trigger me.
