I've been self-harm free for a couple of years now to be exact, and I plan on never doing it again. Whenever I feel the urge to do it, I fight it, I push it away, I remember the progress I've made and there's no point in doing it, I'm only hurting myself by doing it and it won't make me feel any better.
I read a book or draw, or do puzzles, or just take a nap with my birdie!
