SSI Disability - June 29th 2010, 01:34 PM

Hey, my mom and I applied for Disability in which I still don't agree with, but that is a story on it's own. I do have a few questions and I believe this would be the right forum. If not, then feel free to move.

I do have a few questions about the SSI Disability as I have to do in for an interview. I am a bit nervous as I always am when it comes to interviews.

What exactly is SSI Disability?
What questions will they ask?

Please help.

SSI disability stands for Supplemental Security Income. Basically its a way of getting money for basic needs if you have disabilities and do not have very much or any income. As far as what you should say in the interview.. Would you mind sharing what you situation is? I would be able to help you more if i new the circumstances.

Thanks! But what would you need to know? I just wanted to know what questions they may ask, so that I can prepare.

yes, basically it is to help you with basic needs. I am on it and HATE it too(the fact I'm on it).

The questions they will asks is about income and assets. This includes any money in savings.

They will want to know why you need to be on it. The reason is to help prevent people from cheating the system.
