Angry Cracking back addiction! o.O - May 9th 2010, 07:22 PM

I crack my back almost everyday, mostly because in school I sit so much and it ends up hurting. The chairs are awfully stiff and are attached to the desk, which means that you can't pull the chair in/out, so you have to lean forward to write or whatever (which makes it worse!). (My dad thinks it's because I don't sit correctly but I don't know...) Usually if I lean back and push on the desk it cracks the top of my back. Is this really weird? I know people crack their back, but not all the time like me & I fear it will cause me back problems in the future.

Nicolle, I do this too though I just do it anywhere and just for the sake of it.
If someone mentions it I feel like I have to do it.
If I twist my upper body really quick then it cracks all the way down.
its disgusting when i do it because its so loud!

i worry that it will cause me back problemos but i dont really care at the end of the day coz i know im not gonna make it to old age anyway.

just thought id share that

Thanks Chesca haha yes I do it that way too and it's so loud. :P I wish I could stop but there is too much pain if I don't!

I do this too. If the desks are causing you pain and discomfort, you should talk to someone about getting some new desks with separate chairs as this could help with your back. Also, seeing a chiropractor can help with any back concerns as it sounds muscular to me. If you're worried though I would recommend seeing a doctor about this.
