Fighting - May 12th 2021, 09:37 AM

Im struggling a lot right now.
My boyfriend has been feeling bad, and I forgot to look out for myself. Now when he's feeling better, I'm doing worse and worse. I feel myself and its so hard.
I have so many voices in my head, and theyre screaming.
And it hurts inside me.
I dont really know what to do.

And I cant really talk to my boyfriend about it, because he's finally feeling better and I dont want to ruin it.

Im fighting.

It's understandable that you don't want to share with your boyfriend about what's been going on with you, especially after he's now started feeling better. Part of being in a relationship with someone is working as a team. You've been there to help support him, so why won't you let him help support you? I know you don't want to 'ruin it', but again, he's there to support you just as much as you're there to support him.

If you really feel like you can't come forward and chat to him about what's been going on, maybe try and confide in a friend or family member? Alternatively you have us here at TeenHelp who are always happy to help listen and try and come up with solutions to whatever issues you have.

Hello Lucy,

I am so sorry that you are having a hard time with this and hope that you will be okay soon. Would you be able to write down how you are feeling and everything that is going on with you? Then when he asks you if you are doing alright or what is wrong, you can give him the letter so he can read it and understand what you are going through. Sometimes it's hard to tell others what we are going through and we don't want to bother them. Would you be able to try talking with a family member or friends and let them in? When you are feeling like this try to find something to help you get your mind off of this for a while, going for a walk around your house or reading a book for a while or drawing or painting or putting on a funny movie or TV show or something else that you enjoy doing and hopefully it will help pick you up. I hope you will be okay soon. Sending you to help you.
