Hate myself - April 4th 2023, 04:55 PM

[FONT=""][COLOR=""][SIZE=""]When I look in the mirror, I always feel and think I'm very fat. Everyone always tells me that I'm not fat, I'm small and I don't listen to them, I don't eat all of my food. I hide it from everyone and I throw it away fast so thay think I have eaten. Sometimes it takes me for ever just to eat something and i always hate myself. I always feel alone.[/size][/color][/font]

I'm so sorry that you are dealing with negative body image. Eating disorders are serious and it's important that you reach out to a trusted adult or a friend for support. If eating a full meal is difficult, perhaps try focusing on eating smaller meals more frequently.

There's nothing wrong with "being fat" as long as you remain healthy. Going on more walks, drinking plenty of water, watching the type of food you eat, be mindful of any warning signs your body is giving you.

The world places such a huge stigma on "being fat" and that needs to end.

No matter how your body is configured physically, you're perfect just the way you are.

Hello and thank you for coming onto Teenhelp and telling us about what you have been going through. I am sorry that you are having a hard time with this and I hope that you will be okay soon. When you look into the mirror, try to think good things about yourself and not what you are seeing. Sometimes it can be hard to not think we are fat and other things, when you are able to, try talking to someone at school or a friend or family member if you can. I hope that you will be okay soon.
