I started cutting a week ago. I cut on my forearms the most. I need to hide it from my parents I have been wearing long sleeves for the week and they are going to start getting suspicious because I never wear long sleeves. I need suggestions!!!

Welcome to TeenHelp.
Do you think you can talk to someone you trust about how you're feeling? People such as your parents, friends, or teachers could help support you if you decide you'd like to talk to them about this.
Do you know why you started self-harming? Were there particular feelings, or a few moments that lead to you wanting to harm yourself? Here is a list of alternatives you can take a look at if you'd like to try to stop.
You said you started cutting a week ago; whether or not you try to stop is up to you, but you may benefit from looking at some alternatives and other coping skills for what you're going through. Cutting only causes more harm in the long run.
To cover cuts on the forearm, some people use bracelets, sweat bands, bandanas, ace bandages, watches, or long sleeves with a thinner fabric. You can also try using makeup, but don't use makeup when your cuts are new or open.
If clarity's in death, then why won't this die?
