What to wear to a funeral? -
March 6th 2012, 03:09 PM
I have my mem's funeral tomorrow night and I'm not sure what to wear. I don't even think I have anything appropriate to wear, so I'll have to go out tonight and buy an outfit.

When I went to my friend's funeral a few years ago, I wore a black shirt & skirt with black leggings & black converse, whereas some people just dressed normal, but then again, this was for a 16-year-old's funeral, so that might be a bit different. I would just wear something nice, doesn't have to be too formal, darker colors. Some people wear bright colors to funerals, but I guess it depends on the religion as well.

Black is usually standard. My biggest recommendation, above dark colors, is modesty. No cleavage or short skirts, just something very modest and that doesn't stand out. I'm sorry Brittany.
