I live survival stories. I recently came across this one this past summer as there was an article and excerpt about it in Montana magazine. I loved it so it was one I picked up. Sadly the author, Jim Cole, died about a month ago from natural causes so it's bittersweet to have this book.

My sister used to read them when she was younger, I recently found a box with like 30 books of this and was like "what the heck" and started reading it

I've read seven different books in the past week or so, but, this is by far my favorite. I can't put it down. Oh, it may be triggering to Self Harm, to any of those who may want to read it.
