I'm currently working my way through the tales of the city series by Armistead Maupin. I feel really sad that I never got to see san francisco in the 1980's.
On a slightly more highbrow note I am also reading Ulysses by James Joyces and am being forced into reading Middlemarch and the woman in white by my mother.

So I will find my fears and face them
I will cower like a dog
I will kick and scream
I will kneel and plead
I'll fight like hell to hide that I'm givin' up
