Anxiety getting worse - December 10th 2017, 03:13 PM

Hey guys,

When I found out I was pregnant in September, as advised by my doctor I stopped taking the medication for my anxiety. I unfortunately had a miscarriage. At the time, my anxiety seemed to have eased, so I thought why not give it a try to continue not taking my meds. However, my anxiety has got progressively worse. I am still trying to get pregnant. So part of me thinks maybe I should try to carry on without them. I don't want to start taking them, to find out I'm pregnant and have to come off them again. I just miss the feeling that anxiety isn't taking over my life. But right now I'm finding it difficult to cope. I still have some of my meds, so there's nothing to stop me from resuming them again.

Help please!

Thanks,
Paige

Hey, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I understand how hard this must be for you but if you are feeling like your anxiety is getting worse then maybe you should consider going back on your medication especially if you are feeling excessively stressed, as stress is a big block on getting pregnant. If you don't feel as though you want to go back on that medication then maybe see if you can discuss with your doctor about an alternative medication that you can take while you are trying to conceive and maybe even safe during pregnancy. I hope that this was some sort of help or reassurance for you. Don't give up you will get there, if you ever want a chat or just someone to just listen then just give me a message.

Keep strong x

Giving up doesn't mean your weak sometimes it means that your strong enough to let go <3
