School feels like hell for me -
December 7th 2014, 06:15 AM
Ever since fourth grade, I've been missing a ton of school and I haven't been getting the best grades. It is a mix between constantly being sick, having social anxiety, depression, arthritis in my hands, scoliosis. There's a whole list of things that make going to school hard for me. At first I just disliked school, but now when I think about it I get anxious, stressed, I even have suicidal thoughts sometimes. I don't know what I'm suppose to do. I've researched online schools and tuition free public schooling is not offered to where I live. They do have private schools but they cost a lot of money and we can't afford it. I can't even drop out yet if I wanted to because I'm only 15(16 soon). I know many people would think that I should just be able to deal with it for the next few years, but when I think about how long that will actually drag on, I start having awful thoughts again. This is something I've been dealing with for a long time now and I honestly don't know how much more I can take

Hey there,
Is it at all possible that you can home school at home instead of online? I'm not sure your relationship with your parents but maybe they can take turns or you can do self directed work with a few hours of lessons from them. You can make things work. Online school seems good but like you said it can be expensive. There may be some free resources online though.
