Left shoulder blade.. HMG stands for Hugh Michael Guthrie who is my father who passed away when I was 7 from cancer.
Didnt hurt til he started going over my shoulder blade but it still wasn't awful pain. Just felt like a bee sting over and over. Not too bad. Outlining was the worst part though.

Thank you all to who gave me advice and such.
Definitely glad I went without the coloring though.

I love seeing people with ink that means a lot to them. It's something that is means a lot to me, as well, in terms of when it means something to someone else because it shows that they're not wasting something, and they're not getting something permanent in their skin that means nothing to them.
I like the design, and I love the texture of the wings. <3

Aww... that's a really pretty tattoo. It is so meaningful. I hate it when people get flowers and stuff and there is no meaning behind it.

You're tattoo turned out so great. I had pictured a lovely tattoo but your artist is amazing. The detail is so great. That's wonderful that it didn't hurt to bad. Funny thing when I got mine I thought the shoulder blade felt really good, just a vibrating relaxing sound (I am kinda weird with pain lol). I love it without the color! It looks so great! As I keep saying lol. How long did it take the artist? Any questions or concerns at all let me know!

Cromwell - Thanks, and yess it means very much to me. I've been wanting a tattoo for my dad since I was about 8, and I'm 16 now. Trust me, if I didnt have meaning for it my brother (whom I pay attention to much more than I do my mom) would not have let me get it haha. He would've had a shit fit. He has 8, and all 8 he can sit there an explain for atleast 10 mins meaning to him so yeah haha. I love the way it turned out! It was soo much better than I ever could've imagined.
Mexico - Thank you! My mom said the same thing bc she is okay with tattoos but she isnt thrilled with them and she was glad I had a meaningful one, even though she was a little horrified I do believe during the process bc I'm the youngest and she was like "ohh my gosh, you're tattooing my baby!"

Elizabeth - Thank you. I hate it as well, now alot of people that I go to school with want tattoos and when I ask them what the tattoo they want means to them they are like uh, nothing.. I just want a tattoo and I keep saying well dont get it then haha. I will def contact you with any questions.

Fishie - Thanks but you def helped me the most on TeenHelp! Haha well I didnt really enjoy it but it wasnt horrible pain. But the vibrating did almost put me to sleep a few times haha. I'm glad I went without color, I actually decided when I walked in that I didn't want color and Jamie was like good! I thought it would look better without it I was like uh, hello you coulda told me that earlier. It took him about 40 minutes, shorter than I prepared myself for. But Jamie def is amazing! I like it. It's cute and definitely very special for you. Also, how can you say bee stings don't hurt?  They do. I find they hurt more than getting blood taken or such haha.

You're welcome! Glad I could help. I like both color and black/grey tattoos. Some look better with color and others look better without, and since yours is so sophisticated it looks fabulous. 40 minutes seems so short but when you're getting poked probably doesn't lol. That helps that your mom doesn't mind tattoos and I'm sure she loves it, whether she says so or not, just because of the story and meaning it has to you.
