I'm one of the Buddies here, and I get to welcome new users, get to know them a little bit, help them find their way around if they need it, and essentially be a buddy to them.
I see that you haven't made any posts or customized your profile yet. Why not post an introduction in the Arrivals and Departures forum? It's a great way to get to know the wonderful people on this site, and vice versa

Chat room - Speaking of the chat room, if you're not so comfortable posting in the forums, perhaps the chat room would be better suited. It's a popular area of the site; many people come and go throughout the day. Why not give it a go?
