Re: I don't know what to do.

I may be wrong, but this sounds like Little Sister wanting to be Big Sister and that is why she seems to be lording it over you.

Actually, your sister may hvae underlying self-esteem problems, so she assumes that by making you feel bad, 'ups' her bossiness when really, she needs help for herself.

Spending time showing interest in her may help, once she sees you are genuinely being loving and caring. Helping her to feel more positive is a good step; taking interest in her social media feeds. Even ask her to do a writing competition of Favourite Things to do, and get her a box of feel-good chocolates should show that she can be trusted and very loved.

I had probs with a little sister so I spent more time with her. I only allowed her to wear my jumpers providing she looked after thems. Borrowing my hair straighteners meant bringing thems back after use.

You see, sister-sister relations work best when fair-is-fair: always ask first on the basis of thanking you after use and returning them, hopefully, unmangled.

Hi Emma,

Sorry for not having got back to you earlier!!

That's really upsetting behaviour on her part and I would be really ticked off too in your position

Since she's not changing even after you've spoken many times to her, I agree with Flight about speaking with your parents and see if you can work out a mutual agreement with your sister. If she's having some other underlying issues because of which she's behaving in this manner, perhaps it would be a good idea to directly address those, and this matter would be taken care of automatically.

Good luck!

Hi there,

Have you tried talking to your sister about how this makes you feel? If you have spoken to her and she still does it, the best thing to do is to speak to your parents as it seems to be bothering you. I hope this helped.

I don't know what to do.

My older sister is always in my room taking my stuff without asking and gives it back dirty. I shouldn't be upset about this. I always ask to borrow something from everyone. I have told her to stay out of my room. I'm not the kind of person who tells our parents on her. She's driving me crazy.
