Re: Earth Day 2024

I always try and be aware of my actions in regards to how it affects the environment. I recycle often, re-use plastic bags and put my rubbish in the bin. After all, we only have one planet.

Earth Day 2024

Today is Earth Day and this year's theme is 'Planet vs Plastics'. Plastic pollution is a global problem that not only harms the environment but also poses risks to our health, yet it's a fundamental part of our lives as many everyday items are made from it. So what can we do? Here are some easy but impactful ways that we can take care of our planet and, in turn, our wellbeing.

  • Choose products with less packaging
  • Swap plastic food wrap with foil or Beeswax wrap, or cover with a plate where practical.
  • Try a reusable water bottle made from stainless steel or glass.
  • Buy second-hand clothes or try a clothes swap with friends.
  • Use washable bags when shopping.

What are some ways that you help protect the planet?
Do you have any tips you can share with us?
Does your workplace or school observe any eco friendly practices?

As we celebrate Earth Day, let's not only think about the challenges we face but also take a moment to appreciate how incredibly beautiful our planet is. From tiny creatures and complex ecosystems to breathtaking natural landscapes, our planet is a marvel that deserves our care and admiration.
