A colleague I used to work with tested positive the day she was supposed to be getting her 2nd jab. It's definitely possible to catch it even with a vaccine and obviously it isn't 100% effective....

A 5% failure rate doesnt mean an increase in death rate though, this would still be reduced to 0.25% of a much smaller pool of patients. The death rate is also likely higher as testing hasnt always...

I am concerned because it's new and there's no way for anybody to know the effect it will have on our bodies should we catch it. But at the same time, I do think the media are sensationalising it...
