her period just may be late for no reason. That happens sometimes. Just because it doesn't come bang on the day doesn't mean it won't come at all.

She may be stressing out about thinking she's pregnant, and stress can delay your period.

There is always a chance that a girl gets pregnant when she has sex. Using a condom would have reduced the chance dramatically and well done for being safe, but if you're not ready to accept the consequences then maybe you shouldn't be having sex yet. You need to put your mind at rest. Maybe she could go on the pill too to be extra safe? Condoms can break or not work if they're not used properly.

Well done for being safe though. She'll have to have a pregnancy test to find out for sure though.

No one here can tell you whether she is or isn't pregnant, or what the cause of her missing a period may be.

However, I would try not to stress out just yet... if it has only been one day since she was expecting her period to arrive, well, that really isn't reason enough to think something major is up. It may arrive in the next few days or so, but if she's stressed (perhaps because of worrying about being pregnant) or has been unwell recently then that may be one reason for the delay of her period.

Condoms aren't 100% effective, but if you used it correctly and it didn't split, etc., then her chances of being pregnant are slim. If her period still hasn't arrived in a few more days then she should take a pregnancy test, just to be on the safe side.

Edit: niente beat me to it! I agree that it may be a good idea to discuss with your girlfriend the option of her going on the pill. It never hurts to have another method of protection for added safety and peace of mind.

If you used the condom correctly, there shouldn't be a whole lot to worry about. There are a million and one reasons why a girl's period could be late. If she doesn't get it soon, just ask her to take a pregnancy test to be sure.

None of us can tell you whether or not your girlfriend is pregnant. In order to know that, she will have to take a pregnancy test. There are tons of reasons that a girl's period could be late so I wouldn't worry too much if you used protection correctly. If she hasn't gotten her period in a few days, I'd have her take a pregnancy test.

She should take a test to rule out pregnancy. Then perhaps she should get on birth control.
