I've heard of people being born with both male and female parts. Assuming they both worked and they got themselves pregnant. Would that be considered incest? Why or why not?

Too much time on your hands, hmm? But, if it's possible, it would probably be even worse than incest in terms of genetic defects of any resulting children. Problem with incest is that it means that any hereditary defects are more likely to be passed on as if one partner has them, the other is more likely to. With yourself, it would be even more likely as any defect in the egg will always also be present in the sperm.

Most hermaphrodites are either sterile or in rare cases one set or reproductive organs are functional. To my knowledge there haven't been any case of hermaphrodites with both sets of functional reproductive organs.

Self-fertilisation happens naturally in some species of reptile but I highly doubt it could happen in humans.

In my opinion, if it were possible, it is closer to creating a clone of yourself and having sex with one's self would be more like masturbation.

When they say born with both parts they dont actually mean both (atleast this is what im tolf) they are born with a penis and ovaries, or visa versa

It's impossible to make yourself pregnant, the parts are either sterile or one of them is incomplete.
..Even if they had working male and female parts, I DOUBT you'd get pregnant from your own genetic material. amirite? Something seems off there.
Incest? No haha...I see incest as having sex with another individual from your family. Having sex with yourself would simply be masturbation xD

I don't think making yourself pregnant is even possible.

As others have said, being intersexed is very rare, and in the event that somebody is only one of the reproductive organs will work. If by some chance that both worked, and it would be possible to have intercourse with yourself I wouldn't call it incest.

Incest is defined as "Sexual intercourse between closely related persons" Asexual reproduction only involves one person, and thus would not be incest

Hermaphrodites are sterile as far as i know. And i don't think it would really be possible to have actual intercourse with yourself. I also doubt if you could that it would be called incest; some other name would have to be invented.

Surely though if you were Asexual... Just assuming it were possible, as someone said you;d create clones of yourself... There'd surely be a lot more them round by now, or else all died through inbreeding, but some organisms reproduce asexually and have no problems... Im really not sure :s

Hermaphrodites (the term Asexual actually means that you are a person attracted to neither boys or girls) are extremely rare.
Most are STERILE.
If they can reproduce only one set of reproductive organs actually work.

So, one could assume that it isn't possible to reproduce with yourself.

Well, usually one or both of the parts just sort of sits there, so it's probably not possible to fertilize yourself. But, going for the hypothetical situation, I think it would be considered cloning yourself.
