Hey there Alex! Welcome to TeenHelp! I'm Amalia, a buddy here on TH. TeenHelp is a great community and everyone here is really glad that you have decided to join. - I am a mother of 2 grown-up children (27 & 22) Male and female. I have spent many years advising and talking to young teens and older teens about their thoughts, fears and problem issues. I am also an advocate for helping young teen parents with their parenting skills and communication problems. I have experienced to loss of a baby, which tore my family apart, experienced years of family issues, and shouldered the burden of abuse for many years. I have, along with my brothers and sisters, managed to navigate through storms that seemed intolerable and destined to drag me to a place that I was determined not to go. I learned much about myself and over the years have managed to create new paths to walk and maintain a good attitude and a forgiving nature.
I am a great listener and love unconditionally anyone who is in need of help, advice and a hug. I think I can offer many qualities and skills to the needs of teens and young adults, from pre-puberty to post traumatic, (young adult). I have a security and policing background with a compassionate and sensitive approach, that can deliver a firm line for many and a hug for more!
