CHEMISTRY HELP PLEASE!
"in this performance task, we are to design and conduct an experiment to determine the percentage yield of copper in the following chemical equation."
the chemical equation we are given is:
Fe + CuCl2 --> FeCl2 + Cu
Problem: What is the percentage yield of the reaction of iron and copper(2) chloride when steel wool(iron) and copper(2) chloride dihydrate are used as reactants?
How much copper(2) chloride, CuCl2 is needed to completely react 1.00g of iron?
We will be using CuCl2 . 2h2o in the lab to solve this.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICIATED !!!!!
