Let me see...so you go onto the person's profile page by clicking on their name, and on the right side of the page there's a box that lists all their friends, and at the bottom of the box should be something that says "Befriend so-and-so." So you click that. And then when it asks you if you want to send them a friend request, click yes. They'll receive the friend request and choose whether to accept or decline.
