- I have lived a troubled life. My mother and stepfather were addicted to drugs and alcohol for many years of my childhood. My stepfather also has horrible anger issues; he has physically fought me, my sister, and my mother many times. He puts us all down a lot and causes a lot of pain and trouble for the family. I am also struggling to stay with God.
