I see no point - July 14th 2012, 06:15 PM

Im always anxious out of my mind
I cant talk to my mom because i bother her
My friends are "too busy" to hng out but "maybe next week"
Im always alone
I have no money and i feel bad asking my parents for money
My therapist is busy and far away
Im so anxious i want to scream and kick everything all the time.
Life feels so boring and pointless. I dont get to have the fun life of vacations parties and hanging out with people like everyone else. I just dont see what reason i have to even exist. No one cares so why should i.

Hi there.

Firstly, I am really glad you have come to us here at Teenhelp for some help and support. I think thats a really positive step in the right direction.

I am wondering whether you know of any triggers to your anxiety? Do you feel like you feel anxious all the time or is there a paticular time of the day or when you're in a paticular situation when you feel more anxious? It might be helpful to pinpoint the triggers so that you can work on them or put things in place when you know those situations are going to occour to prevent you from feeling so anxious in the moment.

Ive come across a lot of people on here who feel they can't talk to a parent because the feel they would be bothering them and at times I have felt like that myself. The truth is your mum has a responsability towards you as her child. She loves and cares about you and I feel certain that if she was to know how you are feeling that she would want to help you and support you in the best way she possibly could. Do you think you could try talking to her about whats going on for you?

Do you ever go out with your friends and hang with them? If you dont it might be worth trying to plan to meet up with them. It might help you feel less alone and it might actually do you a lot of good to get out a bit and to be able to socilise and engage with them. Do you feel you could manage to meet up with them? (I don't know if this might be a trigger to your anxiety?)

I can relate to the feeling bad about having to ask your parents for money but as rubbish as this is at times, I guess thats part of life and I wouldn't say you should be feeling bad but I can relate to why you do. Have you looked into getting a weekend job so you can work on your anixtey as well as so that you can earn some money for yourself?

Its good you're having therapry. Do you feel like you are benfiting from it in a positive way? You say that your therapist is busy and lives far away. Does this interfer with the sessions you have? Do you see her on a regular basis? Do your appointments sometimes get canceleed due to this? If this is the case, could you talk to her about seeing someone else or even takl to your doctor about seeing someone who is more in your location?

Lastly, I replied to yout thread because I do care and because I know that things can start to get better for you. I know right now things are not great but it doesnt mean that they will be this way forever. Things can and will get better so keep on fighting and don't be afraid to let people in to help you. You're not alone.

Look after yourself
Jessie

I have alot of triggers and its hard to stay calm all the time. My mom says im always complaining and she cant take it and whenever i ask my friends to hang out they are always busy :c
My therapist lives fr away so i cant see him often but hes the 8th doctor ive had in 5 years ( thy all move and wont let me see them again hes the only one who has ) so its hard to ever talk about how sad i am
