iv been feeling really bad in a ut i cant get out of iv thought about hurtting and starving myself because i HATE what i see in my reflection i need helpb

Hey hun. I'm really sorry you're feeling so down. You don't deserve to feel this way. Try to make a list of things that you like about yourself, or even that you don't hate about yourself. Even the smallest things. You're your own worst critic. Please don't hurt yourself. It's a slippery slope and it's a really rough journey. I wouldnt wish that on anyone. And starving yourself isnt good either. If you want to lose weight it's hard work, but if you don't eat it really messes with your body and your mind, not just your weight. Have you tried talking to anyone about how you're feeling? A friend, parent, or school counselor? You deserve to be happy. Hang in there.

thank you for the ideas. and yes i have talked to some one normaly i dont feel as bad so when i talk to someone i dont say anything someone in my family is sorta going through the same thing but i cant talk to her about it she would through it in my face later. i know that how i feel is ok but i also feel like if i talk to my family they will think i just want attention. but right now i just want to be huged... i am tring to calm my self down but it hard... ill keep trying

Don't starve yourself because you will be anorexia. If you are hungry you eat. Eat breakfast, lunch you can have snacks and dinner. Excecise is the key to lose weight or do some dancing it will get your body moving and burn up calories only if your not happy with your weight. You are going to be fine. Having a healthy, well, balanced diet is okay. Your eating everything in the eat well plate. To lose weight eat less junk food but still have a few. A chocolate bar, crisps, apple, 4 or 3 biscuits, sandwich, yogurt is okay but only eat more if your still hungry. Don't make yourself suffer. Food is your friend remember that and keeps you alive. Don't go over board to lose weight. You got to keep your strenght up.
I'm here if you need me and you are entitled to eat like everyone else.

Hi doll, I wont tell you not to feel the way you do because i know from experience no matter what anyone tries to tell you your perception of yourself wont change. My advice to you is music. Find some songs that inspire you to get up and move and no matter how silly you feel just dance around forget everything for a brief moment. What helps alot is going for a run or even just a walk to clear your mind. Grab your ipod, download some calming music and music that you can relate to and just leave your home for a few hours. If you start doing this about 3 -5 times a week i promise it will make you feel better gradually and you will see your body making small changes. You can also change your eating habits if you don't like what you see in the mirror(which is perfectly common for a young adult) But trust me when i tell you this, there is no need to do harm to yourself. In the long run that will only give you the opposite effect of what you are seeking. Write down a future goal list also. I personally do this periodically to remind myself of the good things about me and what goals i am striving towards. I wish you the best of luck, and please don't hesitate to message me!! Another piece of advice every time you are thinking of doing harm write "love" on your arm it will remind you that their are people who care about you and remember your not the only one.

I'm glad your feeling allot better Bree. Like what Lauren has said do some excercise outside for a few hours do it for 3 or 5 times a week. You will see your body is getting fit and healthy.

i am soo happy right now.i feel almost on a high. i talked to my mom about wanting to loose weight, she said she dosnt care al long as im happy and healthy...so when we were on a break from yard work we weight me and im down [X] from when i last weighed my self in june! nornally i dont weigh my self becaus i afraid of the number i get but right now i feel so happy!!!

Hi there

I'm glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. I'm also glad you spoke to your mum. Just making sure you stay healthy, ok? There's nothing wrong with losing weight if you need to, but you need to make sure you continue to eat and exersise in a healthy manner and that you don't lose too much weight.

I hope things start to look up for you

Im glad your feeling better and have lost some weight. keep in mind your body fluctuates from day to day life depending on how you are carrying water weight, so please and i say this very strongly do not get discouraged or down on yourself if the number goes back up when you weigh yourself next. Also remember it takes 3,000 calories to gain a pound so unless you significantly cheat and eat unhealthy their is no weigh you gained. Good luck a weight loss journey is a slow process but worth it in the end!
