Still holding on - October 18th 2012, 02:46 AM

Idk how I've managed to make it this far. But somehow I'm still holding on to this miserable life. I don't want to but I am why why why why

Here's to you, fill the glass. Cuz the last few nights have kicked my ass.

Hey there,

The fact you've managed to make it this far is incredible. I know this is hard for you right now, I can tell that by your post, but something in you is still clinging onto life, even if it's just with one fingertip, you're still here and that counts for something. That's a reason to to keep going, because you have so far and you're winning right now. There are ways to make this easier, but getting better doesn't come quickly, and neither does it come easily. You may think that you don't want to hold on, but you're still here and it counts for something.

What I'd urge you to do first of all, is find something to give you a reason to live. It doesnt have to be a huge thing, something small can make your day that much better in my experience. You could try keeping a diary, for example, which is there purely to jot down things that make you smile during the day. Maybe you could write about your day with some friends or even make it a scrap book where you can stick in little memories to remind yourself of good times when you slick back through it. If you want some examples of things to make you smile and reasons to stay alive, try taking a look here.

I hope this helps a bit. KEep hanging on, you can do this and you've proven that by surviving this long already. You're a strong person and you can get through this. Keep fighitng.

Take care,
Hollie.

Any meaning in my life is pretty well gone. And that is the worst feeling in the world, I've only made it this far because I can never get a good opportunity to pull it off with enough time to make sure it cannot be stopped
