Still not getting life - December 5th 2012, 06:30 PM

Still here.

Still not seeing any purpose to life

I don't get you guys. You seem to blow things out of proportion just to be happy, when in reality it's absolutely nothing special.

Everyone seems to push you to make goals and achieve them but what's the point when the goal itself is redundant to you, and it would leave you empty anyways.

If you're not willing to see a point, then you won't. You have to change your perspective to even get anywhere. Life is full of a ton of good, but you won't see what unless you try. And I'm not saying you don't try. I just think that people create their own happiness, because life isn't handed to us on a silver platter. It's about taking the initiative to be happy and to make the needed changes to our life. You have to be the change you would like to see in yourself. As cliche as this is going to sound, we choose to see the glass half full, or half empty. Which brings me back to the point that it's the mindset we need to change, not life it's self. So perhaps you could try doing that? A simple change in attitude could really help.

I never said it was simple, it's a choice. You have to challenge your thought process. You, for example, don't see what there is to get worked up about regarding life. So instead of looking at it like that, why not try to see the things that are worth being excited over. If you don't have any, look for some. If that means setting goals for yourself and achieving them, then do so. Step out of your comfort zone. You say that your goals are redundant. Set new ones. Try new things. Always search for happiness.

See the beauty of life. Go outside and look at the clouds, the trees, the beautiful animals. See how much beauty is in the world. Look beyond sadness to see the light in the tunnel and all the beauty in the world. Life was meant to be simple.
At night, go out and star-gaze at the beautiful stars shining brighter than ever. Look at the beauty all around us.
This is our chance to be happy in life. Find a hobby you enjoy. Find something for you. Write your feelings in a notebook. It helps so much more than you think.
The sun induces a natural chemical in our brains to induce positive emotions. Use that to your advantage and do hobbies outside. c:
I agree with Lynds completely by the way.

It sounds as you're depressed obviously. You can PM me if you wanna talk about what's bothering you.
