Stressed out - December 14th 2012, 07:41 PM

Been so stressed recently and I've felt like killing myself I need a way of destressing myself any Ideas?

Sorry to hear you're getting stressed out. I think everyone has different ways to cope and to "destress". I know some people find it very relaxing to take a nice bubble bath with candles and to get into bed with a hot chocolate. I think that helps me most. But others find doing something like art useful or ever going for a good run or to the gym. Maybe you could try and a few different things and try to figure out what helps you most.

Hi,
Different things work for different people with "destressing". I suggest doing things you enjoy and trying out new things, new hobbies and such. Find something fun to you. Nothing relieves stress better than having fun or relaxing, depends on what kinda person you are. And also, I agree with Jessie, hot chocolate in bed or a bubble bath could help. As well as doing things like...

- Listen to Music you like
- Play games
- Watch TV/Movies
- Write down your thoughts in a journal
- Write a poem/story, good outlet
- Hang out with friends
- Go out for a fun night out
- Listen to new music and be adventurous
- Meet new people
- Draw
- Paint
- Go biking
- Go walking/running
- I know it may sound childish... But coloring, it's really distracting
- If you play an instrument maybe write a song


Do anything possible to distract yourself. Remember, suicide is never the answer. Things will get better, keep your faith and hope. If you ever feel you'd like to talk about what's stressing you out, feel free to PM/VM or email me.
