I need reasons to - December 15th 2012, 05:07 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of suicide, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread therefore might not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

hi im steven i'm tired of trying to be happy and i just wish i was a better person, not a weak minded one. i'm considering suicide more than i ever thought i would. i feel like i dont want help. i dont want to spend years trying to be happy and have an enjoyable.

anyway, i just need a reason or two to live, because i feel like i could be away from all this trouble instead of feeling bad and having negative thoughts all the time.

they say that you can't get help if you don't want help, but sometimes i dont even want help.

i honestly doubt i'll find reasons to live but suicide is scary because you have to endure physical pain and thats what i fear most. i dont want people to be crying just because i decided to quit. i feel like if i keep living i'll just be unhappy and i'll be trapped struggling forever.

Hey there,

You've probably read this more than 100 times if you ever watch the suicide forums, but suicide is never the answer mate.

It'll hurt those around you more than yourself.
Look forward to a future, the moment when you ask someone to marry you and they accept.
The moment when you are pronounced man and wife.
The moment when you hold your first child in your arms.
There are so many times in life people miss out on because they decide to give up early in life. Don't be one of them. Show life how much you can fight.

Jay.

My blog is open to all, those whom are easily triggered avoid, it's a story about a girl and her life and how far she has come over the years. If you read it, I hope it inspires you to keep fighting and to NEVER give up!

When you can no longer think of a reason to continue, you must think of a reason to start over.

Hey I am so sorry to hear you are going through problems. The only thing I could say is it gets better. You are only 17 in a yr you will be an adult.
Then you could choose what you want to do. Don't give up.

If you every want to talk to someone about your problems Pm/VM me
I will help. I need to know more on why you want to give up, so I could help accordingly but don't give up it only gets better. ( I am speaking from experience)

Can I tell you a story?

I felt just like this before. Like no one would care if I lived or died. I was talking about this to a friend of mine, let's call him Aaron. I was talking about how depressed I was and he got extremely insulted, screaming at me, "Why don't you just get it over with so I can get over you faster?"

On the way home, I got into a bad car crash. Luckily no one died but I did spend some time in the hospital and was unconscious for about a day. Word got around my high school pretty quickly, reaching him in a matter of time. I stayed depressed because not one of my fiends visited me.

I got home about 2 weeks later and started school soon after. I walk into class, still miserable and I was attacked in a hug by one of my classmates. They all asked if I was alright. I later saw my friend, sitting by himself. Calling his name turned around and ran up to me, hugging me roughly. All I heard was, "Bro, don't fucking do that to me again." We talked and made up and he showed me his last text before the accident and it said, "I'm sorry. I was out of line and angry. I love you man."

There are people out there who would be genuinely devastated if anything harms you. Imagine their reaction if it was you who harmed yourself. You can only truly love others if you learn to love yourself. Aaron is the stereotypical unemotional jock. I've never seen him cry like that to anyone.

Suicide is a permanent fix to a very temporary problem with very temporary pain. But to others its a permanent fix to a temporary problem that could give them a lifetime of pain and regret. You weren't born depressed, you became depressed. So you can become undepressed

People care about you. I know it may feel like no one cares or wants to help, but don't be afraid to reach out to those who love you. They would be devastated if you committed suicide. Try your best to hang in there & in time things will start to change. Think of the life you have ahead of you, it'll get better, I promise.

When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.
