Question Safety Plan ? Helplines.. - December 31st 2012, 10:17 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of suicide, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread therefore might not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I'm trying to set up a safety plan in preparation for the next time I lose sanity for a few minutes (meaning I go into suicidal break down mode and try to plan my own death). Since I have a very small support group I have tried contacting a hotline and have been in frequent contact with a counselor.. So I was wondering If I were to call the same hotline from a pay phone/ public phone booth and not mention speaking to the counselor that I'm in regular contact with (since she has my email address,my name and my location) but instead play it like I've never spoken to them and not mention my name, location, school or any other personal details (only my age but not my birthday), and also mention immediate intentions of suicide; would they trace my call, call the police ( even though the phone is not in my name since it's a pay phone) ?????

Hey gorgeous,

I'm Jay and I know how you feel, but, it's better that you get traced and help get to you so they CAN give you aid. It's best you remain safe, and you're sixteen, hospitals aren't fun, but getting the help you need can do much better than "in the moment" talks.
Getting medication for depression or having somebody to talk to no matter what can help..

If you would like to talk to somebody, I'm here, I know what you feel like, I have been there,

My blog is open to all, those whom are easily triggered avoid, it's a story about a girl and her life and how far she has come over the years. If you read it, I hope it inspires you to keep fighting and to NEVER give up!

I agree with Jay. It is better for them to be able to trace it and give you the help you need. It's really important, and better than potentially taking your own life.

I'm here if you need me.
