I dont know anymore - September 11th 2016, 03:42 AM

Well, right now everything is not great...I ghost around day by day feeling empty. I shouldn't though, I mean I should feel grateful that I have a roof over my head, a loving mother, an education. I have everything a girl could want. I should feel happy. But instead I feel numb and empty.I don't know what keeps pushing me at this point, pushing me to wake up everyday, to pretend to be happy, to walk around uselessly. I sometimes fear about where my thoughts are taking me. I'm afraid that one day I'll just snap, jump from my bedroom window or something horrible. I couldn't do that to my mom. I just couldn't. But I don't know what to do...any advice or help would work at this point

Hello

Thanks for coming to us here! I hope we can help or offer some comfort and support to you.

I am sorry you're going through this right now. It sounds really tough. Rubbish life or brilliant life, you could have all or nothing and still feel low and depressed. People with mental health problems, don't normally have them because they don't have a lot of money or because they don't have a good mum and so on. Just because you have got these things, doesn't mean you should be okay all the time. Can I ask how long you have felt this way for and whether you can recognise whether anything has triggered of these feelings and thoughts? If there is something and you would like to talk to us about it please do so. We're here to listen and to help.

I do really want to encourage you to not be alone right now. It sounds like you have some pretty scary thoughts and you shouldn't have to face them by yourself so try talking to someone if you feel able too. Like I said we're always here. I'm here too. School are there for you if you feel comfortable with any particular teachers, a school nurse or counselor or even see your doctor or ring helplines when you are really struggling. It is okay to reach out for help and its best to do it now before allowing it all to get worse.

You seem like a lovely person and you deserve so much so keep fighting. If you want to tell us a little more so we can help you and your situation a little better, please feel free to do so. You are not alone, okay? We're here for you.

Jessie
