Being alone constantly -
November 25th 2016, 08:35 PM
It seems like the only person I have to talk to is my mom. I'm home alone all day until my parents get home from work. I just sit and watch TV, apply to jobs and listen to music all alone. I eat all my meals alone... Do everything alone. My social anxiety has gotten so bad I'm even nervous to be around my family during the holidays. I'm ashamed that I have no social life and I wind up quitting every job I have. I've been gaining a lot of weight and I just stayed in my room all Thanksgiving because I don't want anyone besidea my parents seeing me, I'm so embarrassed. Im all alone and I feel like it's all my fault because I push everyone away. I want to change but I just feel like there's no point... I have no future anyways so why even try to take care of myself. I always think about how ashamed my parents must be of me.
I posted this because I needed to rant and I want to see if anyone can relate. If you feel alone, you're not the only one. We're in it together.

Hi Alexis,
Just like you said at the end of your post, that if someone feels alone that they're not the only one. Which means you're not alone. There's times I feel alone as I feel like seeing people is a lot of work. All I want to do is curl up on the couch and watch TV. I believe the only way you're going to get out of this is to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Try and go out and meet new people. If you have close friends then hang out with them.
Everyone has a specific future. I'm not religious, but god put you on this earth because you have potential. If he didn't think you had potential then he would have taken you by now. I know that's depressing, but it's the truth.
Remember, you're not alone. Everyone here is here for you. We're always willing to talk. I have made so many friends on this website.
I hope you start feeling better soon!
Brittany
