Need it to go Away! - February 12th 2018, 02:08 AM

I don't know how much more I can hold onto for! Having a family member and a pet pass away both in two weeks. I hurt so much. I'm trying to be okay and happy and nothing is helping me to be okay and happy. I feel so depressed and hurt and part of me just wants to give up. What else can happen to us? I can't make this hurt and pain go away. What's the point now? Horrible things are always going to happen what's the point now. I can't think, this pain is not leaving me. What's wrong with me?

Hey Emma

When we lose someone or a pet we go through grieve and many emotions. Sometimes we need to talk to a therapist about how we are grieving and how it's affecting us. Is this something you could ask for? To see if you can talk to someone about how you are feeling?

When we lose someone and a pet it can be hard to cope with or understand. Sometimes knowing why it happened can help us grieve or it may not help.

They ar both in your hearts. You have memories of them. Hold onto those memories. Choose memories that are warm to your heart and feel how they make you feel. You may feel upset because you miss them but also laugh at the moments you had with them that are good.

It will take time to grieve and it does hurt but it does get better over time.

If you need anything, feel free to reach out.

Hey there,

Nothing is wrong with you. The fact is that you are grieving and it can be quite a painful thing to deal with. I know things seem impossible right now but as time goes on you might find that the pain decreases. It can take a while for that to happen but please keep hanging in there.

I am curious if you've been able to talk to your parents or a counselor about how you are feeling? I know you might not have a strong desire to open up about these feelings but it could prove to be beneficial. If you opened up to your parents it's possible that they would want to try and support you through this.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Hey Emma,

There is nothing wrong with you at all. You are grieving. I am so sorry for your losses. I know how much this can hurt. I've watched my mom and grandma grieve over my great grandma it was really tough for them.

I know what you mean by bad stuff is always going to happen so you just want to give up now instead of deal with the bad stuff when it comes. I have felt that way so much. My suggestion is try not to worry about when bad stuff is going to happen and just focus on the here and now.

The people and pet that you have lost will always be in your heart, and I believe they are looking down at you and your family.

I don't know if you are up to doing this but it might be a good idea. You could look into grief therapy groups for teens and if you can find one by you, you might want to go and see what it is like. If it helps you then you can always go back.

If you ever need to talk I am always here.

Your Friend,
Frankie<3

Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard, to follow your heart
Tears don't mean you're losing, everybody's bruising,
Just be true to who you are
