Ugh - March 17th 2019, 12:02 AM

Iím so overwhelmed at this point with my anxiety and depression even on meds for 1.5 years. Like, I just wish I had relief for just a bit and just be too out of it to even know whatís going on or feel the anxiety and depression.

Have you spoken to your doctor? If you've been on meds for that long with no relief in the symptoms, it is probably time to try something new on the medication front. There are lots of people who have to take multiple medications, for example, and that's fine. It feels important to look into that with your doctor if you've been trying to over a year with no change.

Also, therapy is also amazing.

Hi there, welcome to TeenHelp!

I'm sorry you are struggling right now. As Latte has said, have you spoken to your doctor? If your medication isn't working, the doctor can try something new such as upping your dose or switching to a new medication to help with your depression.

A lot of times, we have anxiety and can't exactly pin-point what it is. I think talking to a counselor can help with that, because then you can get to the root of the problem and begin to heal.

In the meantime, is there anyone in your life you can reach out for support? It can be a friend, family member, a teacher or a mentor. It really does help to have someone while you are struggling and I hope you do.

All the best. If you need to reach out again, please don't hesitate to do so.
