The trick to overcoming everything is to treat everything as a chance to grow. - April 24th 2019, 04:54 PM

That person insulting you? Just a way to toughen you up.

The day not going according to plan? It might result in something better.

It's all in your head.. so remember this. Your situation is what you think it is. Mind over matter.

You guys can beat depression for sure. You're all so strong and wonderful.

Never forget that. However, it's hard to forget this fact because you're all so awesome.

Have a good day. Here's plenty of hugs, love and warmth for all of you.

Thank you for sharing this!

I just wanted to add that no-one should have to put up with being insulted. And while some people may feel that it can help 'toughen them up' that for others, maybe it's an opportunity to practice self-care and remind themselves that the other person's insults aren't true

I agree wholeheartedly. Besides that, insults are generally just a way for another person to bring someone else down cause they themselves might have low self-esteem in some way. They just don't know how to deal with that constructively so they view that as an alternative course of action.

No problem! Will be sharing more positive motivational messages soon enough once I can wreck my brain enough to think of some xD Won't take much effort since it's pretty much all at sea due to my lack of sleep already!

I vehemently disagree with this.

As Celyn said, nobody should have to put up with being insulted. There are other ways to develop resilience and strength, and that's not through being bullied. If anything, it can break someone.

But don't get discouraged from sharing your messages. I think, if anything, it would be a good idea to share your own experiences. What brought you here? What were your struggles? How has it changed you as a person? Just some things to think about.
