Trying to be okay... - October 14th 2009, 01:58 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of suicide, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread therefore might not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

It has been such a hard month for me.

I have posted threads about how I feel, asked for advice, looked up counselors, tried to talk to teachers and friends but noone helps me.

I get so upset when I see some people with so many responses because I was so close to killing myself and that only thing that stopped me was a knock on my door. If I had tried to slit my wrist a second before and just ignored that door I wouldnt be here right now.

I want to say thank you to the people that have helped me and go and read and try to give people like me who really do need help advice.. I know that there are people out there that have tried to reach out for help just like me that couldnt find it and are not alive anymore.

Most depressed people dont want to die they just cant handle the pain anymore. We want help!

So please help us.

"My life is like a rolling river
So muddy and absurd
And although I might be mistaken
I know that Iíll be heard
And I find the second I try to pull away
Iím thrown back in line
All this time"

And know that there are people out there who think that you, and your story, are very important - and want to help you. The issue with helping you via TeenHelp is that we're not with you physically, and sometimes that's what it takes - someone to be there with you, look you in the eye, and tell you they're not afraid of you, and they're not going to back off. Do you know what I mean? With that said, we'll always try our best.

I'm truly sorry this has been a hard month for you - I..well, hate those. I mean, what more is there to say? In bad days, bad weeks, bad months, bad years even, it seems like everything that could go wrong, does. And it's really frustrating. Lots of "whyyyy me?"-ing, you know? I'm glad you got that knock on the door, and didn't go through with it. It was probably very frustrating at the time, but in the long run, I really do think it's going to be worth it.

I want to know how to help you. I hope that your day goes well today - take good care of yourself. I know you're trying to do everything you can to beat depression, and I admire you immensely for it.

Hi there! I am so glad that you are here. I am also sorry to hear that you've had a bad month, but just remember one thing that the bad thing about good time is that it is temporary but the good thing about bad time is that even that is temporary.

Also whenever you are feeling pain or are depressed just think about a happy memory. That always works for me. Also thinking about the good time that is going to come is a neat way to get rid of depression.

Just keep trying and keep smiling and if you want happiness just ask for it and the universe will conspire with you to get it to you. Hope you have a nice day and if you want to talk about this you can always PM me. Just know that I'll be here!
