For those of you who have a therapist. - January 26th 2010, 01:54 AM

How long have you been going? Is it helping at all?

I'm pretty sure I've tackled most of my issues already through positive thinking. Surprisingly, it has helped immensely. The only thing that can't be taken care of by simply thinking better of the situation is my relationship with my mom, so I'd really like to get help dealing with that. I'm just not sure if therapy could help that. It hasn't in the past, but I'm wondering if the problem could've been that the therapist was taking sides, and unfortunately picked my mother's.

Waitin' for my ruca.

I no longer see a therapist due to family budget issues, but seeing one did help a lot. It was nice to have someone that was always willing to listen.

I have been seeing therapist for 4 years now (I think) but I didn't start seeing my current one til last February.

The first few therapists I had did not really help because I really did not connect with them etc. However, when I found my current one it really did help. I really dealt with the things I needed to, I felt like she cared, I felt as though I could trust her and on and on

I still have my rough patches and I still have quite a few things to work on but I am hoping that this therapist will help me deal with all that.

Well I had a therapist and he just wasnt helping me at all its like hear me but he doesnt listen to me so I had to drop him. I think that if you can find the right therapist for you like someone who you can really talk to and connect to maybe therapy can be helpful and very useful.
