Hey there,
Sounds like you're going through a rough time right now. I think you need to be outright and honest with people about how you are feeling. At this point, there isn't much you can do to help yourself without medicine. If you talk to someone, a doctor, therapist, family, they can help you find what works best. There are other ways other than medicine to feel better. Plus, if others know you need the medicine but you just can't pay for it, I'm sure insurance could cover some cost or there must be financial aid where you're from. Four years was definately not a waste! That's amazing you've gone four years! You should be so proud of yourself for that! Don't give into that urge, you are stronger than it. Don't forget to use our SH alternatives sticky in the Self Harm forum. They are really helpful.
Hang in there,

Alessa

Hey there,

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling like this. You have come so far and are obviously so so strong - I really admire you for this. Just think how far you have come! That is a truly amazing achievment and you should be really proud.

If things are starting to get worse again, and you feel you do need your meds, could you talk to your doctor, parent or other relative about it? I'm sure they would be willing to support you in this. Although, try not to rely on them. As Alessa said, will any insurance cover it? If they will then it is definately worth doing it - no matter what other people think.

Here is the link to the Alternatives thread Alessa suggested (click here). Have a look at it and see what you think. What way did you stop SHing the first time?

Stay strong,
Take care.

I hope it goes alright, keep us updated.
Could you try using ice/an elastic band/red marker again this time do you think?

Take care.
