Unhappy PLZ~!!Im afraid of asking for help. - March 9th 2010, 12:47 PM

I am having flashbacks from abuse, I am very confused and upset. I cant stop crying, I cant sleep for more than two hours, and I can only eat certain amounts of food or else I feel sick, I dont want to go into the whole story its just too much. I cant get up from bed, I have missed so many classes, Im getting stomach aches so bad I start crying. I need to talk to someone, I am afraid of talking to the guidance counselors, I am afraid they will send someone to my house, or call the police or something but I really need help. Im failing school and I might lose my scholarship. Please someone just answer this. please. I want to talk to someone but I am so scared. When I talk to people on here, or where its anonymous its okay because I never see them, I dont have to look and know that they know what happened to me. But Its so hard to share my story, because I dont know, I might feel better but then later I will regret it and feel ashamed, embarassed that they know, I dont want them to look at me wierd.

Hey there,
Sorry to hear you are going through a rough time. But you should be proud of yourself, because you did the right thing reaching out and asking for help on here. I know it can be scary but I think you do need to talk to your guidance counselor. It's their job to help so you can voice all your concerns to them and they can help you. That's what they are there for. Holding everything inside will just make you feel worse. Even if you can find a friend to talk to, a teacher, or a family member. Just don't keep it all bottled up, because soon enough it will come out and it may not be the best time then. Everyone has problems, but that's not who you are as a person. People shouldn't judge you for what you've been through, but for who you really are inside. You aren't alone. We are all here for you okay? Don't hesitate to PM me if you ever want to talk, or anything at all.
Stay strong,

Whatever it is, chances are I've been there.
If I can make it out, you can too.

Remember that it's okay to need help, and it's okay to ask for it too. As Alessa said, I would start just by talking to a friend, but SOON. Tell them what's going on. This way you'll have someone you trust by your side who understands what's happening. Then, ask your friend to go with you to talk to the guidance couselor (for support). Another thing just to try is music with encouraging lyrics. As to not infringe on the non-advertising policy, I will send you links to some of these songs by PM. I hope this helps

You can always contact me to talk about anything!
Proud to be myself.

Then talk to your Counselors even though they will send someone. Because you need help, so go for it. Cast away the fear you are having, you really need to stop being afraid.

Your decision with whom to share your story with is completely understandable, but when you need help you need to go get it.

Recovery begins by you making the first step.

I came here to help out, so if you wanna talk or just need someone to bounce ideas or issues off of or something else then send me a message and I will reply as soon as I can.
