Possible? - March 29th 2010, 07:06 AM

I'm just thinking. Maybe this is the way it's going to be my whole life. Slipping in and out of depression. There is nothing that can help me and I don't think I will ever change. Like, I don't think this feeling in the bottom of my stomach will ever go away, if you get what I mean. This is a possibility?

I know how you feel, and it's upsetting and frustrating to feel like things are never going to get better. You feel like you shouldn't even bother trying, because it will never be as good as you want. You want to give up, rather than live to see yet another disappointment.

The thing is, though, things will get better. Despite what you think, there are people that can help you, and things you can do to overcome your depression.

Do you see a counsellor or psychologist or anything like that?

Take care.

I wish i could say more. I know how you feel, because that's one of the worst things about depression ~ the feeling that it will never ever go away and it will always be there, and you can't imagine feeling any other way for the whole of your life. But it DOES, please believe me, it really does. I've been there and felt that i was never going to get out of there, but my life has improved so much and I feel so much better now, because I hung in there. Just please, please remember that no matter how bad you feel and how forever it feels, you WILL feel better, you just have to hold on.
