Is it still worth it? :l - May 6th 2010, 12:26 AM

I thought maybe i had gotten better now that he was gone but that only seemed to work for a little bit. I was told i had depression several months ago and had to see a therapist and yada yada.. and it "worked" so i stopped. Lately though it seems everything is getting worse. I have been resisting cutting myself cause im trying to stop and at first it wasnt too hard but now im craving it so much and i dont know what to do. I cant talk to anyone about it cause no one seems to understand. They laugh or just yell "YOU'RE EMO!" and all that shit. And yeah that definitely helps..

Im just wondering if anyone has any suggestions before things get a lot more worse :l im trying to stop my bad habits cause im tired of it all and i feel the only way for it to go away right now is to go away...

I know the feeling... lately i have been thinking about cutting myself, but i resist because i know it would only hurt the people around me. I know, people can be so stupid when it comes to the whole emo thing... just ignore them, they dont realize that anyone can be emo. Dont do anything stupid, trust me it wont help u, find something else to help keep your mind off of cutting, pick up a hobby, i read everynight now, and it helps. dont give up, life is extremely hard, but i believe it will get better, so hold on. Keep strong!!!

Remember that recovery takes time to build successfully and show its results. So be patient. And as you focus on something else, remember to face the problem itself which is
cutting. Simply focusing on something else won't help that much.So when faced with the choice of cutting remember not to be afraid but be courageous. And you can also try to keep a diary of some sort so that whenever you are faced with the chance of cutting, you can write so that the cutting chance may fade as you write.

I came here to help out, so if you wanna talk or just need someone to bounce ideas or issues off of or something else then send me a message and I will reply as soon as I can.
