How do you shake the blues? - May 17th 2010, 03:33 AM

I deal with depression. It used to be severe depression but has since improved to a condition called Dysthymia (mild, persistent depression). Generally, I am happier than I used to be. Even though I take a low-dose antidepressant I still frequently get into a funk where I'm very lethargic and I feel kinda mopey. It's a lot better than it could be, but I wish I could find a way to fight it off and get up on my feet again when I'm feeling this way. What do you do to feel better when you're feeling depressed?

music, tv, exercise, internet, people, movies, food. jsut pretty much anything thatll make be happy.

" One day at a time, this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering. "

i wonder when i'll finally jsut start accepting myself, when i'll stop saying i wish i could be like that person.

i have facebook, and myspace. and you can ask for it. :P

when i wanna feel better.. generally i just do anything i like like maybe watching scenes from my favourite movie or just generally watching funny things happen. as usual laughter cures a lot of things!

hope all goes well.
