Feeling crap. - May 31st 2010, 10:40 AM

First of all, I'm new here, so hi.
I guess there's a few reasons why I'm not very happy at the moment. Right now, I'm 16, turning 17 in 23 days. I am currently in year 11. The beginning of the year I went into year 9 (so like 08 I think) my mum left her husband (not my dad), and me, her and my sister moved to our usual holiday destination, about 2ish hours away from where we lived. In general, we've been a happier family ever since, but the place we've moved to is small, and very boring, with close to no opportunities, educational or career wise, so there isn't much to do. At the end of next year I plan to move back where we came from and do 3 courses in photography. I visit regularly, and love it, and HATE coming home. This place is terrible. Most of the people here are nice enough, I just miss my friends back home, especially my best friend Dylan and my kinda-halfish on & off girlfriend Rachel. I talk to them everyday, for a long time, but it's really not the same. My school sucks, even though I got to choose all my electives this year, the classes I wanted to do either didn't run, or turned out to be crap, my teachers are lazy as hell, and I've been barely paying attention in class or just not trying, because I hate it. Which then gets me in crap with teachers. It's too hard to talk to my friends or parents about this. And the only reason I haven't dropped out is because the courses in photography I want to do require year 12 finished, or to be 20 years of age. As of late my temper has become short, i'm easily frustrated, feel sick alot of the time and stressed because of everything else. Everything added up makes me feel terrible, and I am almost always upset or angry about something. I hate feeling like this, but I am glad i've found a place like this where I can just vent.

Hey

I think I am kinda going through the same thing, but slightly different. I think the main factor of your feeling terrible is stress, as you are feeling sick and angry and all that. My advice for that particular bit is just to take a bit of time each day to just relax, preferably outside (fresh air is helpful). I know it's not much but just this little method each day can help lower your overall stress levels
