Emotionless. - July 4th 2010, 09:09 PM

I didn't really know where to post this...

Here's my predicament...

I can't tell how i'm feeling anymore. There isn't any difference in my emotions. It's like this numbness.
I don't know if i'm happy or sad or depressed or excited, i'm just on one level all the time. Kind of empty i guess...

Any advice??

yeah i know how that feels when i get that way i break down the walls i forgot i put up and reach out to a friend and tell them exactly how im feeling i may break down crying but being sad is better than numb right? plus after a good cry you will feel better, other than that im not really sure what to tell you sorry i fall in and out of numbness often to its starts off as "nothings gonna touch me, nothing can bring me down" then i just brush everything off too much to the point it becomes passive maybe thats how it happens for you then i suggest maybe try to take a step back look at the situation contructively deal with things that bother you in a contructive way and positive things right them down and take time to reflect how happy they made you...idk it may help i hope it does good luck

you need something to lift you up. try music? going out with friends? talking to someone about this? try doing a hobby?

the strange thing is that numbness is opposite feeling of "being in love" kind of feeling. and its unusual pretty much. cause puberty mostly makes us feel bipolar.
Have you experienced some king of heart break lately?
think of something that makes you happy?
chores usually help me,and running/jogging boosts your mood, makes the depression go away. and by the way i look at it,this looks like depression.

i agree with jamie. every time i feel sad, i just talk about it,let it out, cry. then later i cant stop thinking about it,again. i look at the situation and find a good side of what i did,in detail. it doesnt really help me,just it made me feel more pain. its good to try though, cause you try to run and try to snap out of it. but you simply cant. then you go all UGH on it.
you didnt say if its cause of a situation, that you JUST feel numb.
emptyness is different than sad. just do what fulfils you. i its about a situation, look at it.

I'm drowning there,
my final chase.

Re: Emotionless. - July 5th 2010, 02:16 PM

I don't know what causes it all. There isn't really any situation that has made me feel like this. I already have a hobby. I dance. But to be honest i hate it. 8 years i've been latin and ballroom dancing but the passion has gone. my passion for everything has gone.
In a way I've given up. Doesn't seem like there's any road back sometimes.
but thatnkyou for the advice, I'll give it a go
