I'm sorry to hear you're going through a tough time. However, I'm glad to hear your girlfriend is there for you. Keep in touch with her, since she can make you happy

Even if you hate the guys in your dorm, you do love your classes. Surely you can meet people and make friends there! It might suck at first, but think of it like fertilizer: It feels like crap, but it will help you grow. I'm sure you can find people with similar interests who will be willing to befriend you.

For now, everyone on teenhelp is kind and willing to listen to you and help you. I hope things get better soon!

I either feel like no one cares, and that I should be breaking things, and that everything is falling apart, or that everything is great, and I can do anything, and I really do have friends.

I'm stuck halfway in between.

The first year of college is rough on everyone. Some guys make it. Others fall back and return home. Others keep jumping between colleges not making any progress this way or that. I became really depressed my first year. It's part of the collegiate life, luckily you only have to worry about this for a year cause it gets better sophomore then junior.
