I've never been so lost I've never felt so much at home - December 1st 2010, 07:04 AM

So now I'm in college and about to crumble and fail all together. Ok so to start out I've been depressed most of my life and I hate my parents cause they were never there for me so to me I grew up up with out there help.......but they dont even no how I feel or understand it. So I ran off to college and got a job so I'm now a full time student and have a full time job working till late at night to pay for stuff like my car and insurance for it.but with working late I started skipping my morning classes and will probably fail them which will drop my gpa and cause me to lose my financial aid even though my later classes have like all a's my gpa will be to low. And I work for a big employer so it's not like they give a fuck. And now I'm not this big high school footbal player any more I'm just a nameless face in the crowd and I'm scared and almost feel the suicidal abyss taking me again

Is there any way you could reach out to a counselor at your school? It sounds like you are dealing with a lot of different things and it might help if you have someone to talk to about everything that is going on in life. Most colleges provide their students with a certain number of free counseling sessions so maybe you could make use of that?

Is it too late for you to start making yourself go to the morning classes and try to pull up your grade? Remind yourself it is only for a few hours and then you will be done? I know that when I don't feel like going to class I will remind myself that I don't have to be there too long and it helps.

As for next semester do you think it would help if you could schedule your classes later in the day? That way it won't conflict with your work schedule and you won't miss because the classes are too early?

I know things are tough right now but they will turn around. You have next semester to improve things and I am sure you will. College is a hard adjustment on anybody so give yourself some time.

I really hope this helped and if you need anything feel free to pm me.
