depression over a soulmate - January 2nd 2011, 02:23 AM

recently i have been depressed because i dont/have not found a soulmate

I know that just about everyone will want to say im too young (14) and that ill find one sometime when i'm an adult but thats exactly what i do not want.

I want while im still young to meet her and then grow up for the rest of my life with her, my greatest fear in life is that not happening and me becoming more depressed.
Since then i have become vain and worried about my looks more then my personality which goes against my views about love.
I guess it started when i realised all i want in life is that and i would give up nearly anything for it to happen, after that i became depressed

Thanks for reading this and any advice would be nice to read
also i did not really get where this should go so this seemed best.

I have felt that way too. I will say that my current relationship is my first, and didn't happen until I was twenty. I think there is so much pressure to find the "one" and for me it happened when I wasn't looking. Honestly, I don't think I would have been ready for this any earlier, because I wasn't as happy with myself as I could be. I think you really need to work or your depression and be comfortable with yourself before you would be able to enter into a relationship. I really believe that if and when things are meant to happen, they will.

Same thing happened to me last year. But, you'll find that one perfect person. Just find someone your friends with and just start talking them more. You two would get more comfortable with each other that way. I must say though, there is a 99% chance that you won't be with this person forever. So just keep looking though!
