I told somebody! - March 21st 2011, 07:19 PM

One of my best friends told me about her anxiety, and I plucked up the courage to tell her and someone else that I think I have social anxiety and depression and paranoia. She's being so supportive and I am to her aswell. It feels pretty good to have someone so close to me that shares something that we can help eachother out with, but I do feel bad for her.

She's giving me strength though, so I'm considering telling more people to get some help. She's inspired me, because if she's got anxiety, and she managed to tell someone, then I should be able to do the same. Hopefully I'll pluck up the courage some time soon.

Hey Hollie

This made me really happy. It's great you managed to tell you friend and its great that you can both trust each other. Don't be afraid to reach out for further help because you deserve the support. And you can get the support. You can get the help and you can get out of this horrible situation. Things can get better, so keep going

Keep your chin up.

Hi Hollie.

I think it's great you were able to tell her. That took a lot of guts, and I admire you for it. I'm glad you feel better for having done it, and I hope you get all the support you need.

Take care.

Hey Hollie,

I think it's really amazing that you managed to tell somebody about everything that is going on with you and I think it's great that she has been so supportive with it all, that's a really good sign of a true friend and she sounds like somebody you should keep around. Anyway, it's an amazing achievement to have told her because sometimes telling people is the hardest thing that you'll ever have to do. I'm really proud of you for having the strength and being so brave to reach out to her and you should be really proud of yourself too. I hope that things continue to go so well for you and that you both continue to help and support each other through the good and the bad times.

Take care and stay strong.

Thanks everyone, I'm feeling a lot better today, which is a well needed cheer up after feeling down for over a week now.

Jake, I will keep her around. I've known her since primary school and she's one of my best friends, I need her really.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate you all taking the time to read this and reply. Love you all!
